Essential Steps
Hire a Panamanian licensed lawyer:
- Prepare a Power of Attorney and Application, addressed to the President of Panama, pursuant to Article 10 of the National Political Constitution.
- Submit the documentation to the National Immigration Service.

- Notarized Power of Attorney
- Renunciation of current nationality
- Expression of the desire to acquire Panamanian nationality
- Application
- Certification of Immigration Status
- Copy of the permanent resident card authenticated by the Electoral Tribunal of Panama
- Certificate of good health
- Criminal Record
- Financial Solvency
Prove financial stability through employment letters, income tax returns, or bank statements. Include a Certificate of Good Standing from the Directorate of General Revenue.
